Target has done it again with their beautiful logos and sleek packaging for their new Bookmarked Book Club brand. This new brand will expand Target from books to accessories as well as encourage customers to join a local book club. The design firm Wink in Minneapolis created the packaging to show the product in use. I love that for the magnify glass it shows the actual book words underneath getting bigger.
The only fail is that I cannot get half of their bookmarked book club website working. But it looks like they are trying to create and encourage communities of book lovers, offer book club suggestions and more. The only page on their bookmarked site that I could get to load was this one, but hopefully it will all be functioning soon.
It will be interesting to see how this online book club community takes off. Everybody these days is trying to find new ways to cash in on the online social networking.
