My Weekend in Pictures

Happy Monday!  Hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend.  My weekend was pretty hectic busy, but in a good way.  I was sad not to be able to go home to North Carolina for Easter, but luckily had lots of festivities with friends to keep me busy.

I got to dye Easter eggs with a friend.

The final result.  We tried to follow Martha Stewart's instructions on doing patterns and colors,  but she makes it look a lot easier than it is.

Went to see Adventureland (which was even better than I expected) and had Tapas in Old Town Alexandria.  I always forget how great Old Town is, with it's brick sidewalks and quaint restaurants and shops.  I need to go there more.

Went to a friend's house warming party/game night.  Our team won at Cranium Wow, which is good since I have a tendency to get overly competitive.

Met Jasmine's amazingly awesome Cat, Itty Bitty.  I plan to be her self confidence coach in encouraging her not to lose weight since she is pretty great the way she is now.

Attended the Easter sunrise service at the Lincoln Memorial.  Absolutely amazing.  Definitely worth being dead tired the rest of the day.

Had lunch at the Baltimore Inner Harbor and enjoyed a little sunshine and shopping.

Saw the Orioles play the Rays.  It was a complete slaughter, but nice to begin the season of relaxing outside watching baseball games.

  3. This was my first year going to the sunrise service but I highly recommend it. It was so beautiful sitting on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial overlooking the reflecting pool, monument and capitol as the sun came up.
